In 1990, she performed her debut on stage in Off-Broadway production in The Big Funk written by John Patrick Shanley. She was then cast for her first role on television, The Perfect Tribute. In 1992 her career was launched when she was cast for a part in the film Basic Instinct. The Firm was the film that made her the main female for the first time and for the only moment. It was a film that featured Tom Cruise, Gene Hackman as well as others. The 90s saw her working alongside some of the top actors in Hollywood, like Gwyneth paltrow and Hugh Grant.
